The four children, who are the main characters are fictional, but their experiences are based on true stories.  The events are historially accurate.  Mr. Germano's illustrations are based on historical photographs and objects in the Museum's collection.  The Museum received project grants from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, for the writing and printing of this book.  (Paperback, 4th-grade reading level, 19 pages, 15 illustrations)
