Book Talk with Jennifer Tiritilli Ranu, author of "Italians of Greater Paterson" at the American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark on October 5th, 2019
Haledon, NJ - On Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at 2PM, the American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark proudly welcomes the general public to a book reception and signing event with educator and author Jennifer Tiritilli Ranu. Ms. Ranu will discuss her recently published book, Italians of Greater Paterson (Arcadia Publishing, 2019) and will answer questions. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.
Italians of Greater Paterson uses photographs and text to tell the story of Paterson's Italians. Ms. Ranu notes that Paterson's Italians always helped each other during tough times and contributed to making Paterson a great city and a great place to live.
United We Bargain, Divided We Beg, an exhibit of original contemporary art by Zach Horn will be on display at the Museum on October 5th and will remain on view through December 31st, 2019. Tours of the Museum will be available and, the Museum Store will be open for browsing and shopping.
The Botto House National Landmark, home of the American Labor Museum, is located at 83 Norwood Street, Haledon, New Jersey. It ws the meeting place for over 20,000 silk mill workers during the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike. The Museum's hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM. Tours are offered Wednesday through Saturday from 1-4PM or by appointment.
