On Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at 2PM and in honor of National Arts and Humanities Month, the Museum cordially invites the general public to a virtual book talk with Jeffrey B. Perry, PhD, author of Hubert Henry Harrison:  The Struggle for Equality, 1918 - 1927 (Columbia University Press, 2020)

Harlem-based Hubert Harrison (1883 - 1927) was a brilliant orator, educator and activist who influenced leaders of organized labor and the Civil Rights/Black Liberation struggle.

Jeffrey B. Perry is an independent scholar of the working class formally educated at Princeton, Harvard, Rutgers and Columbia Universities.  He is the author of Hubert Harrison:  The Voice of Harlem Radicalism, 1883-1918 and A Hubert Harrison Reader.
