The American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark is proud to announce that this year's Sol Stetin Awards will be presented to Raymond Pocino, Vice President of Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA!) and Loretta Weinberg, Majority Leader of the New Jersey State Senate at its 39th Annual Awards Gala. This event will be held on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at The Tides Estate, North Haledon, New Jersey beginning at 6:30PM. .
The Sol Stetin Award, presented annually since 1982, honors outstanding individuals for their contributions to working people. Raymond Pocino, Vice President of Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA!) developed innovative programs in support of union members and their employers. NJ Senator Loretta Weinberg (D-37) has dedicated her career in public service to improving the lives of working families.
The Annual Sol Stetin Awards Gala is a major fundraiser for the American Labor Museum. The Awards are named for Mr. Stetin who was president of the Textile Workers' Union of America (TWUA) and a founder of the Museum.
The general public is invited to attend the Annual Sol Stetin Awards Gala. Tickets at a cost of $125. per person are available by calling the Museum at (973-595-7953. A Commemorative Journal will record the names of individuals, businesses and organizations who make donations to the Museum. A Silent Auction will be available during the Gala, offering an additional opportunity to support the Museum and take home terrific gifts, artwork and collectibles.
