Labor Day 2021 at the Museum

The Museum proudly welcomes visitors to tour the Museum on Monday, September 6th, 2021 from 1Pm to 4PM in honor of the Labor Day holiday.  Guided tours feature a stroll through the restored period rooms, Old World Gardens and exhibits about working people.  The Museum Store will be available for browsing and shopping.  There is a $5. suggested admission.  Children under 12 and Museum members are free.

Matthew Maguire (1854-1917), a machinist and alderman of Paterson, NJ and an organizzer with the Central Labor Union of New York City is credited as a driving force behing the first Labor Day celebration in 1882.
